Mosquito Thursdays: Giants, Cubs and Dodgers Come Out On Top

It was a beautiful day for the three scheduled Mosquito Division games today.
The Giants muscled their way to a 12-8 victory over the Cardinals in four innings of play at Bickford South.
At Diamond #2, the Lizzies rallied from a three run deficit to edge the Cubs 10-9 in four innings of play. The game ended with a three player collision at first base. Our TP cub reporter says that the players involved were only shaken up and there were no serious injuries.
The Dodgers rallied to defeat the Pirates 9-7 in three and a half innings of play at Diamond # 3.
Peewee Tuesdays: Jays Mount A Huge Rally To Usurp Lizzies 13-10 In A Thriller Of A Game
RED SOX TRUMP YANKEES 8-2 AT DIAMOND # 2
The Jays rallied from a five run deficit to win a Peewee Division thriller 13-10 versus the Lizzies at Diamond # 3 today.
With the Lizzies ahead 10-5 in the top of the fourth and final inning, the Jays staged a miraculous eight run comeback to steal the victory.
The game was highlighted by great plays from both teams.
The Jays as a team exhibited strong discipline at the plate in the fourth inning to mount the comeback. They also received strong pitching efforts from Tommy Calderon in the second inning and from closer Cameron Heald-Brown who snuffed out the Lizzies comeback attempt in the bottom of the fourth inning.
The Lizzies collectively pounded the Jays in the first and third innings to build an early lead with a disciplined approach at the plate. The Lizzies strong efforts were highlighted by a stellar pitching performance from Cooper Godel who struck out the side in the top of the second inning by facing only three Jays batters. Lizzies Salim Fleming-Smilke brought the fans and his teammates to their feet when he stroked a lead off solo home run to right field in the top of the third inning.
At Diamond # 2, the Red Sox throttled the Yankees 8-2 in four innings of play. The Red Sox took advantage of some shaky Yankees pitching to trump their Peewee Division rivals.

CARDINALS EDGE LIZZIES 10-8; GIANTS DEFEAT PIRATES 8-4; CUBS CLAW BY DODGERS 12-9
After last week's games were rained out, the Mosquito Division resumed its regular season with three games today underneath wonderful blue skies.
In a seesaw battle, the Cardinals prevailed over the Lizzies 10-8 in four innings of play at Bickford South.
At Christie Pits Diamond # 2, the Giants defeated the Pirates 8-4 in four innings of play.
Finally, the Cubs edged the Dodgers 12-9 at Diamond # 3.
Peewee Tuesday: Jays and Lizzies Victorious
JAYS TRIUMPH 14-8 OVER THE YANKEES; LIZZIES HOLD OFF THE RED SOX 10-7
It was a beautiful spring evening for Peewee Division baseball down at Christie Pits.
In a tight game game after two and a half innings on Diamond # 2, the Jays finally pulled away for a 14-8 victory over the Yankees in five innings of play.
On Diamond # 3, the Lizzies broke away in the fourth inning for a 10-7 win over the Red Sox in six innings of play.
Tee Ball Tuesday: Another Tie(dal) Wave!
OFFENSIVE JUGGERNAUT RULES THE DAY AT THE BICKFORD NORTH DIAMOND
It was another Tee Ball Tuesday down at the Bickford North diamond with two games scheduled.
In the early game, the Falcons and Owls spread their wings at the dish and the game ended in a 27-27 tie.
Coincidentally, the late game between the Eagles and Hawks also ended in a 26-26 tie.
Birds of a feather play baseball together. And a wonderful time was had by all in attendance.

OFFENSIVE POWER CONTINUES IN SECOND WEEK OF PEEWEE REGULAR SEASON PLAY
One couldn't have asked for nicer weather for the second week of regular season play in the Peewee Division.
On Diamond # 2, the Jays triumphed over the Red Sox 11-7 in four innings of play.
Meanwhile, on Diamond # 3, the Lizzies rolled over the Yankees 16-8 in five innings.
