Rookie Ball Coaches, if you're able to attend during your team's time that would be great, but if not no worries...I will be operating the machine and trying to give whatever helpful suggestions I can. Players and parents, if you're absolutely not able to attend during your team's time but can come out during one of the other times, then please do so. However, if you can come during your team's assigned time, please do, because that will help to even out the numbers and give all the kids a chance to face as many pitches as possible.
We look forward to seeing you there.

JAYS CRUISE TO A 9-1 VICTORY OVER THE YANKEES
The Jays cruised to a convincing 9-1 victory over the Yankees in four and a half innings of play at Christie Pits Diamond # 2 today.
The Jays made the most of their offensive opportunities to surge ahead. Stellar defense and a strong Jays pitching staff silenced the mighty Yankees offensive machine.
Kudos to Jays pitchers Jake (12); Michael (6); Cameron (7) and Kane (1). The four pitchers combined to strike out five Yankees and allowed only one run over five innings.

TP BREAKING NEWS: Diamond # 3 Back In Operation For Rookie Ball and Mosquito Division Games and Practices Starting Monday, July 19
BROKEN PIPE REPAIR COMPLETED EARLIER THAN SCHEDULED; PEEWEE DIVISION CONTINUES WITH A REVISED SCHEDULE ON JULY 20 UNTIL NEW OUTFIELD SOD TAKES HOLD
The broken pipe repair, which shut down the use of Christie Pits Diamond # 3 this week, has been completed sooner than originally forecast.
As a result of this wonderful development, the TP Baseball Committee would like to announce that teams in our Rookie Ball and Mosquito Divisions are returning to a regular schedule starting Monday July 19th. All Rookie Ball and Mosquito games and practices will take place as listed on the original schedule. The TP Baseball Committee would like to thank parents and players in our Rookie Ball and Mosquito Divisions for their patience and understanding during the revised schedule changes that were made necessary this week.
Although the work is done in the outfield section of Diamond # 3, the fences will be staying up for an additional week while the new sod takes hold. Until the new grass takes root, it will pose a safety risk for players in our Peewee Division. Because of this concern, the TP Baseball Committee will be revising the Peewee Division game schedule again this week. The revised Peewee Division schedule for Tuesday, July 20 is:
Game 1 6:00 pm Christie Pits # 2 Yankees at Jays
Game 2 8:00 pm Christie Pits # 2 Lizzies at Red Sox
Peewee Division practices will take place Thursday July 22nd as scheduled.
The TP Baseball Committee thanks parents and players in our Peewee Division for your continuing patience and understanding.

Mosquito Monday: Pirates Rally To Usurp Lizzies 8-7
THE BUCS FIGHT BACK FROM A THREE RUN DEFICIT TO WRESTLE THE TREASURE OF VICTORY AWAY FROM MOSQUITO DIVISION RIVAL

Super Arms! Left to right: Nico (5) of the Lizzies strikes out one and holds the Pirates scoreless in the bottom of the first inning; Eden (3) of the Pirates pitches two stellar innings versus the Lizzies.
The Pirates rallied from a three run deficit in the bottom of the third inning for an 8-7 victory over the Lizzies in four innings of play at Christie Pits Diamond # 2.
The Pirates were the victims of an early offensive outburst from the Lizzies. However, a stellar two inning pitching effort from Pirates Eden G. M. (3) saved the day. Eden limited the Lizzies offense to only one run as he struck out three batters. His ability to neutralize the Lizzies potent batting lineup allowed the Pirates to rally for the victory.
Eden also slammed the door on any potential Lizzies rally in the top of the fourth inning by making two super defensive plays. His first catch off a popup led to a double play when he threw to second base to double up a wayward Lizzies baserunner. His final grab off another pop up ended the game.
