TP BASEBALL COMMITTEE RELEASES UPDATE CONCERNING THE TP SELECT TEAMS FOR THE 2011 SEASON
The Toronto Playgrounds Select program is a team which players have to “make”. Any player who is registered in our TP House League program (and not playing rep) is eligible to try out.
The TP Baseball Committee is planning to field select teams in the Mosquito, Peewee and Bantam categories in 2011. (If there is sufficient interest, a Rookie Ball select team is also planned for this season.)
Our TP select teams usually play in a select loop during the season, with one game (and at least one practice) each week.
These select games and practices will be in addition to house league games and practices. Players will only be allowed to participate in select if they are also participating regularly with their house league team. There will be additional costs for those players who make the TP select teams, which will be in addition to house league fees.
Tryouts for our TP select teams will be beginning soon. A select tryout schedule will be posted as soon as it is finalized.
