TP NEWS: Player Evaluations and Spring Training on the Horizon

TP BASEBALL COMMITTEE WILL SCHEDULE EVALUATIONS AT THE END OF APRIL AND COMMENCE SPRING TRAINING AT THE BEGINNING OF MAY; 2011 TP HOUSE LEAGUE BASEBALL SEASON STARTS ON MAY 24.

With opening day of another TP House League Baseball season only sixty days away, the TP Baseball Committee is making preparations for another great summer of fun on the field of dreams.

Parents and players in our baseball program should note that the upcoming player evaluations will be scheduled during a weekend near the end of April. Player evaluations are used to determine each player’s skill level. The player information and data gathered at the evaluations will be used by the TP Committee to make each team as balanced and competitive as possible.

Once the teams in our six divisions have been formulated, the TP Baseball Committee will commence Spring Training at the beginning of May. These workouts will allow coaches and players to practice together as a team and work on their baseball skills for the long season ahead. Parents will also have an opportunity to get to know their coaches and also bond with their team.

Schedules for player evaluations and spring training will be posted as soon as they are finalized by the TP Baseball Committee. Please check back for updates.

UPDATE: Parents and players who haven’t registered yet for the 2011 TP House League Baseball Season are strongly encouraged to do so as soon as possible. Some of our divisions are filling up quickly as we approach Opening Day on May 24. Register NOW to avoid disappointment.
