In a quaint Mosquito Division round robin game on Diamond # 3 this evening, the Cubs thrashed the Dodgers 9-4 in four innings.
The Cubs (1-0) were firing on all pistons both offensively and defensively.
Stellar pitching efforts from Arlo (3) and John Eric (4) of the Cubs neutralized a strong Dodgers batting lineup for most of the game.
With the Dodgers (1-1) offence held in check, the Cubs batters made the most of their opportunities in scoring nine runs over four. The highlight was a deep 2-run shot cracked by Jacob (9) into the outfield.
