ROOKIE BALL SELECTS CONTINUE INDOOR SESSIONS AT BOB ABATE CRC
The Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Committee has announced that indoor tryouts and workouts for the Rookie Ball Select Team will resume on Friday, March 2 in the gym at the Bob Abate Community and Recreation Centre (485 Montrose Avenue) from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30.m.
The committee wishes to advise parents and players that we are not nearly at the point of “making cuts”, so please don’t worry if you’re not able to make it to Friday evening’s Rookie Ball Select workout.
Parents and Players are advised that there will be no Select Tryouts and Workouts held during the week of March Break (March 12 to 16).
The continuing series of indoor tryouts and workouts will offer an opportunity for parents and players to gauge and indicate their interest in the Select program. The sessions will allow players to demonstrate their respective baseball skills and acumen to the Select coaches for evaluation.
Players and Parents attending our Select Team tryouts are advised to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time of their tryout session so that we can make sure that everyone is properly registered in out house league program with all pertinent information necessary. Only players who are registered for the 2012 Toronto Playgrounds House League season will be able to participate in the sessions.
