Jian (4) of the Pirates hit an inside the park home run in the Buccaneer’s victory over the Dodgers.

Sailing under the overcast clouds of Christie Pits Diamond Bay, the Pirates looted the Dodgers 9-3 in 3 ½ innings to claim the gold doubloons of victory.
Here are the highlights:
- Pirates pitchers Aaron (5) and Nigel (6) combined for several strikeouts to keep the Dodgers offense docked at the pier.
- Jian (4) of the Pirates hit an inside the park home run. Taking advantage of some landlubbin’ overthrows by the Dodgers, Jian skillfully navigated the rough seas on the basepaths to come home.
- Despite scraping his knee while attempting to catch a foul ball, Pirates third baseman Quinn (12) waved off the medical attendants and continued to play in Jolly Roger fashion.
- Great Dodgers defensive play in the third inning. First baseman Adam (8) fielded the ball cleanly and threw a laser strike to Third baseman Kayla (7) to record the second out in the bottom of the third.
