DAY 3 > September Madness Burrows Onward

FIVE GAMES ON ARE ON TAP THIS EVENING AS THE TP BASEBALL TOURNAMENT SLIDES INTO ITS THIRD DAY

The 2012 Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Tournament (a.k.a. ‘September Madness’) continues this evening with another five round robin games.

With some perfect summer weather yesterday, we were able to play all four of our scheduled games on Day 2 of the tournament.

However, some rain on Tuesday forced the postponement of the round robin games in our Peewee and Midget Divisions. As a result, the TP Baseball Committee was forced to revise the tournament schedules pertaining to those divisions:

  • The rained out Tuesday, September 4 Peewee Division round robin game between the Jays & Orioles has been rescheduled to Thursday, September 6 at 7:45 p.m. (Christie Pits Diamond 2). Here is a link to the the revised schedule: PEEWEE DIVISION TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE (REVISED)
  • As a result of the Tuesday Midget Division round robin game being rained out, the TP Baseball Committee has been forced to revise the Bantam & Midget Divisions tournament schedule. Here is a link to the revised schedule: BANTAM & MIDGET DIVISION TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE (REVISED)

The annual tournament to wrap up the season is baseball lover’s delight with a cornucopia of games from four age divisions being played over four diamonds at Christie Pits and Bickford Park.

You can keep track of all the scores, standings and game accounts every evening of the tournament via the website and Twitter.

Final scores will be uploaded to twitter feed (@TPbaseballnews) as they come in.

Updated standings, scores and other news will be posted on the website nightly.

And on the busy weekend of the tourney when 28 games will be played, parents and players can keep tabs on the tournament by visiting the TP Tournament Scoreboard located behind Diamonds 2 and 3 for the latest updated scores and standings.

In the event of uncertain weather, please call our TP Hotline (416-392-1914, Press 4), or check our Twitter feed (@TPbaseballnews) and our website for the latest updates pertaining to your tournament game.
