Beneath the lights on a chilly evening at Christie Pits Diamond 2 this evening, the Mets edged the Cubs 4-2 in a brilliant four inning Mosquito Division defensive struggle.
In a well played game where runs came at a premium, both teams did not score a run until the fourth inning.
The Mets scored four runs in the top of the fourth to surge to a 4-0 lead.
In the bottom of the fourth, the Cubbies gamely rallied for two runs, but came up short as the Mets hung on to win the nightcap.
