BATTLING RIGHT TO THE END, TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS WENT DOWN SWINGING IN THEIR KNOCKOUT GAME AT THE MISSISSAUGA MAJORS TOURNAMENT
Beneath hazy and humid skies this morning at Crookes Park, Leaside defeated our TP Mosquito Selects 13-1 in the knockout round of the Mississauga Majors Tournament.
The knockout loss eliminates Toronto Playgrounds from the tournament.
The Mosquito Selects blazed a trail through the round robin phase of the Majors tournament by winning all of their games and finishing with a stellar 3-0 record. That magical performance allowed TP to advance to today’s knockout playoff round.
The TP Baseball Committee wishes to congratulate to Mosquito Select Head Coach Bill Evans, assistant coaches Casey Maude, Matt MacDonald & Joe Sala, General Manager Reagan Maude, Guest Hitting Coach Ryusuke Okada, and all of the Mosquito Select players on their success at the Majors Tournament and for representing Toronto Playgrounds with dignity, honour and professionalism on and off the diamond at the tourney.
