Beneath cool evening skies, the Royal York (2) Cardinals defeated our Toronto Playgrounds Minor Peewee Selects 12-5 in four innings of Etobicoke Baseball Association (EBA) Select action at the Queensway Park South Diamond.
An energetic Toronto Playgrounds team took advantage of their opportunities in the top half of the first by scoring five runs to take an early 5-0 lead.
However, the pesky Cardinals chipped away at TP lead during the remainder of the proceedings to ultimately prevail with the win.
