THE GO GO LIZZIES PREVAIL OVER THE BIG RED MACHINE AT CHRISTIE PITS

Under a canopy of sunny blue skies, the Lizzies prevailed 7-5 over the Reds in four exciting innings of Mosquito Division action this evening at Christie Pits Diamond 3.
In a well played game by both teams, the Lizzies eventually pulled out the victory by capitalizing on their opportunities and shutting down the potent Big Red Machine offense at crucial junctures of the game with some strong pitching.
Here are some highlights:
- Lizzies starter Quinn (14) pitched a scoreless first against the Reds.
- Lizzies reliever Daniel (4) held the Big Red Machine offense to a run in the third.
- Lizzies closer Lewis (10) threw a scoreless fourth to pick up the save.
- The Lizzies turned in a nice defensive play when Jude (12) and Sebastian (9) combined for the final throw out at third.
