Under a ceiling of overcast skies, the Weston Wolverines defeated our Toronto Playgrounds Minor Peewee Selects 21-14 in four innings of Etobicoke Baseball Association (EBA) action this evening at Pelmo Park.

It’s was a very exciting and run filled game for both teams. TP received some excellent pitching from Aaron (18) and Niall (12).

Toronto Playgrounds also received hitting from all players, with everyone getting on base and contributing.  And the game was filled with lots amazing hitting and base running.

The pesky Minor Peewee Selects kept the proceedings tied 11-11 through 2 ½ innings of play. However, the Wolverines broke the game open in the bottom of the third with a huge offensive outburst and pulled away for the victory.

The Minor Peewee Selects (1-3) return to the friendly habitat of Christie Pits Diamond 2 to host the Martingrove White Sox on Wednesday, June 18 at 7:00 p.m.
