WITH TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS HOSTING THE WEEKEND 2014 MOSQUITO SELECT BASEBALL PLAYOFFS IN MID AUGUST, EAGER VOLUNTEERS ARE ASKED TO LEND A HELPING HAND FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME

A MESSAGE TO ALL TP HOUSE LEAGUE & SELECT BASEBALL PARENTS AND PLAYERS:
Hello Baseball Friends!
Toronto Playgrounds Baseball is honoured to be hosting the Etobicoke Baseball Association (EBA) Mosquito Select Playoffs from Friday August 15 through Sunday, August 17 at Christie Pits and Ravina Gardens.
Ultimately, the success of the tournament depends on our TP volunteers. If you’re able to lend a hand, please let us know if you are available on one or more of the days to help us with the tournament. This is the first time, in my experience with TP, that our association has hosted a loop playoff and our success may help us land a provincial tournament in the future! We are looking for volunteers for the following:
- (1) BBQ [all proceeds earned will go directly to TP House League and Select baseball]
- (2) Groundskeeping [raking the fields and chalking the lines before all playoff games]
- (3) Game Administration & Convening [checking teams in and posting results]
- (4) All around cheerful support!
Please forward this overture to others within your own baseball circles and or high-school students looking for volunteer hours. All volunteers receive free food on during the weekend along with an overall feeling that comes with doing a good thing for the community and for the love of the game.
