Under a canopy of warm and hazy skies, our Toronto Playgrounds Minor Peewee Selects defeated the Royal York Cardinals 20-10 in four innings of Etobicoke Baseball Association (EBA) Select action this evening at Queensway South to collect their second victory of the season.

Here are some highlights:

  • After being out of action for three weeks, Jude (3) sparked the TP offense by going 4 for 4 at the dish with four singles and 4 RBI’s.
  • TP starter Jashan (13) pitched solidly in the first inning and got himself out of a sticky wicket mess in the second.
  • Also returning to the lineup after a three week absence, TP reliever James (6) pitched efficiently in the last two innings to seal the deal.
  • And a special kudos to Teago (20) of Royal York for his 3 RBI home run shot in the second.

After a well deserved bye week away from the EBA Select circuit next week, the TP Minor Peewee Selects (2-2) return home to Christie Pits Diamond 2 to play their home opener versus the Weston Wolverines on Wednesday, June 8 at 6:30 p.m.
