Beneath the tranquil twilight of a midsummer’s night, our Toronto Playgrounds Major Peewee Selects defeated the East Toronto Dodgers 6-3 in five innings this evening at Waterworks Park to win their opening round robin game at the Mississauga Majors Tournament.

  • TP pitchers Alden (7) and Jordan (14) combined to toss a great game versus the Dodgers.

  • Leandro (10) made an inning saving catch in left field off a rocket of a hit by East York.
  • TP catcher Jake and starterĀ Alden combined to stop a Dodgers baserunner from scoring on a wild pitch.
  • Nigel (20) made a rocket throw to home plate to prevent an East York baserunner from scoring.

The TP Major Peewee Selects continue their quest at the Mississauga tourney on Saturday (July 16) morning at Lakeview Park when they face the Brampton Royals in their second round robin game at 8:30 a.m.
