A GRAND CELEBRATION IS ON DECK TO WRAP UP THE 2016 TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS HOUSE LEAGUE BASEBALL TEE BALL SEASON

The Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Committee wishes to remind Parents and Players that this Saturday (August 20) is Tee Ball Celebration Day!!! This is the final day of our Tee Ball season, and we’re hoping that everyone will be able to join us for the fun!
The specific diamond at Christie Pits that each game will be played on will be determined on Celebration Day and based upon the number of players on-hand from each team. We will be using diamonds 1, 2, and 3 at Christie Pits for the Celebration Day event. If necessary, we will combine the players from more than one team to play together, but we’re hoping to have enough players from each team to not have to do so.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled game time so that we can determine team numbers and assign the diamond for each game. There will be a clearly marked area for checking in…it will be in the outfield grass between diamonds 2 and 3 (beside the outdoor pool building).

10:00 a.m.

- Wolves at Tigers
- Cougars at Bobcats.
10:45 a.m.
- Falcons at Woodpeckers
- Herons at Sparrows
- Otters at Deer
- Pumas at Caribou
11:30 a.m.
- Finches at Eagles
- Ravens at Loons
- Foxes at Jaguars
- Elk at Seals
12:15 p.m.
- Cranes at Owls
- Chickadees at Puffins
- Moose at Lions
- Leopards at Panthers
1:00 p.m.
- Hawks at Robins
- Pelicans at Hummingbirds
- Ocelots at Lynx
- Cheetahs at Wildcats.
All players and coaches will receive a free lunch consisting of a hot dog (meat or veggie) from the TP BBQ Zone, a bag of chips, and a juice box. Hot dogs and drinks will also be available for sale to friends and family members.
Players and coaches playing at 10:00 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. will receive their free lunch after their game….players and coaches playing at 1:00 p.m. should arrive at Christie Pits by 12:30 p.m. to receive their free lunch.
The Tee Ball trophies and photos will be handed out on Celebration Day…they will not be available before Saturday. We will be arranging a time for the trophies and photos not picked up at Celebration Day to be claimed…we will circulate the date time and location by email as soon as it is confirmed.
There will also be an opportunity on Saturday for players who weren’t able to attend our Photo Day event to have their picture taken. We’ll also be taking a few team pictures for those teams who didn’t have their coach able to attend our photo day back in June.
For those of you attending Celebration Day, we have a couple of requests. If you’d be willing to help out with the BBQ for an hour or so (not when you’re child is playing of course!) please let me know by return email. We’ll be starting to get it going around 10:15 a.m. and finishing around 1:15 p.m.
Also, we’re also planning to set up P.A. speakers at each diamond as we’ve done in the past so that the players can have their name announced when they come up to bat (no walk up music though). If there are any older siblings in your family who would like to have a turn announcing names, please let us know on Saturday when you arrive.
