The lucky fans in attendance at last night’s Peewee Division Semi-Final were witness to an epic ‘September Madness’ playoff elimination game between the Giants and Pirates at Christie Pits.  It was a breathtaking tooth and nail spectacle from the first pitch to the final out. For the love of the game, the players from both teams gave it their all and left everything they could give on the field of play.

With another playoff game completed yesterday, the 2016 edition of the annual Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Tournament continues today with a semi-final elimination playoff game in our Mosquito division.

A grand total of 66 games are scheduled to be played within the eleven day span of the tournament (weather permitting, of course).

The sheer amount of baseball games slated to be played is a baseball lover’s delight. During the weekend portion of the tournament, it was a virtual cornucopia of baseball from dawn to dusk. It’s no wonder that we fondly refer to our tournament as ‘September Madness’.

Here is the game that is on deck for today:

Wednesday, September 14
