Junior & Senior Rookie Ball Batting Practice Sessions for First Time Players on May 28

SUNDAY MORNING BATTING PRACTICE SESSIONS TO TAKE PLACE AT CHRISTIE PITS

Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball has scheduled batting practice sessions on Sunday, May 28 for first time players in our respective Junior and Senior Rookie Ball age divisions.

This weekend’s batting practice sessions are intended solely for Rookie Ball players playing their first season batting against the pitching machine. We really want to give these players a chance to get used to hitting against the machine.

We’ll be holding additional batting practice sessions intended for all players in forthcoming weekends. But for this Sunday, please only come out if you’re batting against the machine for the first time this season.

The Junior Rookie Ball (2009) batting practice session will take place at Christie Pits Diamond 3.

The Senior Rookie Ball (2008) batting practice session will take place at Christie Pits Diamond 2.

Both sessions will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Upon arrival at their designated diamond, participating players are asked to “sign in” for the batting practice sessions. Players can stay as long as they like…from ten minutes to two hours if they so desire. Batters will have a chance on Sunday to attempt to hit ten pitches and then get “back in line” for another turn if they want.
