Beneath a genteel ceiling of serene skies, the Toronto Playgrounds Minor Peewee Selects defeated the Toronto Playgrounds Major Peewee Selects 6-2 in six innings of Etobicoke Baseball Association (EBA) Select action this evening at Christie Pits Diamond 2.

The proceeding was a crisp and well played affair between two talented and well coached squads. In the end, the Minor Peewees prevailed with a combination of strong pitching and making the most of their offensive opportunities when they arose. Over the duration of six frames, the Minors would use six different pitchers who combined to limit the potent Majors batting order to five hits while striking out twelve.

In the top of the first, the TP Minor Peewees would stake themselves to an early 2-0 lead. Following a one out single by Charlie (7), Kieran (18) would draw a walk to put two swans on the lake. Theo (17) would follow with a RBI single to bring Charlie home with the first run of the game.
