Beneath a layer of warm and overcast skies, the Red Sox defeated the Angels 7-2 in four innings of Mosquito Division action this evening at the Bickford Park South Diamond.

The proceeding was a fun and entertaining contest between two talented squads. In the end, the Red Sox prevailed through a combination of strong pitching and making the most of their offensive opportunities. Four Red Sox hurlers combined to limit the Halos to three hits and two runs over the duration of four frames.

Red Sox starter Sam (12) would strike out three in the top of the first to keep the Angels off the scoring ledger and in the pews.

In the bottom of the first, the Red Sox would jump out to an early 3-0 lead. With one out and two ducks on the pond, Will (6) would stroke a RBI single to bring Keith (8) home with the first run of the game.
