THE HALOS PREVAIL OVER THE BRONX BOMBERS IN A NAIL BITING ROUND ROBIN TOURNAMENT GAMEĀ AT CHRISTIE PITS

Robbie (10) delivers a clutch RBI triple in the top of the fourth inning which propelled the Angels to a dramatic 4-3 Mosquito Division Round Robin Tournament Game victory over the Yankees at Christie Pits Diamond 2.

Beneath a picturesque canopy of late summer skies, the Angels edged the Yankees 4-3 in four thrilling innings of Mosquito Division Round Robin Tournament action this evening at Christie Pits Diamond 2.

With the gameĀ tied 3-3, the Halos snapped the deadlock in dramatic fashion in the top of the fourth. After drawing a one out walk, Dylan (8) swiped a pair of bases to advance to third. Robbie (10) followed with a grace under pressure RBI triple to bring Dylan home with the go ahead run.

In the bottom of the fourth, with the Yankees potential tying run aboard at third base, Angels closer Milo (12) struck out three Yanks to seal the deal on the victory.

Here is a brief recap of the proceeding:

  • After the Angels were held off the scoreboard in the top of the first, the Yankees staked themselves to an early 2-0 lead. Duncan (11) and Thomas (10) came home to roost.
  • The Bronx Bombers tallied another run in the bottom of the second to extend their lead to 3-0 when Willem (12) came homeward to crow.
  • Refusing to surrender, the Halos rallied for three in the top of the third to tie the game 3-3. Milo, Mika (2) and Jack (4) came home to do the shimmy, shimmy, shake.
