SUNDAY BATTING PRACTICE SESSION FOR FIRST TIME JUNIOR & SENIOR ROOKIE BALL HOUSE LEAGUE PLAYERS TO TAKE PLACE AT CHRISTIE PITS DIAMOND 3
Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball has scheduled a batting practice session for first time players in our Rookie Ball Division (2009-2010) on Sunday, May 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Christie Pits Diamond 3.
This weekend’s batting practice session are intended solely for any Junior or Senior Rookie Ball House League players who are playing their first season batting against the pitching machine. We really want to give these players a chance to get used to hitting against the machine.
Upon arrival, participating players will sign up to bat in the order that they arrive, and will get 10 pitches to hit. This will give them an opportunity to become more comfortable hitting against the machine. After their 10 pitches players can sign up at the end of the list to bat again….while waiting they should help field balls for the other batters.
We’ll be holding additional batting practice sessions intended for all players in forthcoming weekends. But for this Sunday, please only come out if you’re batting against the machine for the first time this season.
For this Sunday, you have to arrive at the diamond by 1:00 p.m. to get on the list to bat.
