2018 TP House League Baseball Rookie Ball Celebration Day Event On Deck for August 25


OVER THE HILLS AND FAR AWAY, A FUNTASTIC SATURDAY CELEBRATION IS ON THE HORIZON TO WRAP UP THE JUNIOR AND SENIOR ROOKIE BALL SEASON AT CHRISTIE PITS

The Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Committee wishes to remind Parents and Players that our 2018 Rookie Ball Celebration Day is on tap for Saturday, August 25! This is the final day of our Junior and Senior Rookie Ball season, and we’re hoping that everyone will be able to join us for the fun at Christie Pits!

All players and coaches will receive a free lunch from the TP Baseball BBQ Zone consisting of a hot dog (meat or veggie), a bag of chips, and a juice box after they have played their Celebration Day game. Hot dogs and drinks will also be for sale to friends and family members.

Players will also receive their trophy and individual and team photos after their game.

Here is the 2018 Rookie Ball Celebration Day Schedule for Saturday, August 25:

  • 9:00 a.m. >  Chihuahuas at Clippers  [Christie Pits Diamond 3]
  • 9:15 a.m. > Mud Hens at Bisons  [Christie Pits Diamond 2]
  • 10:30 a.m. > Iron Pigs at River Cats  [Christie Pits Diamond 3]
  • 10:45 a.m. > Aces at Rail Riders  [Christie Pits Diamond 2]
  • 12:00 noon > Grizzlies at Sounds  [Christie Pits Diamond 3]
  • 12:15 p.m. > Redbirds at Stormchasers  [Christie Pits Diamond 2]
  • 1:30 p.m. > Knights at Bulls  [Christie Pits Diamond 3]
  • 1:45 p.m. > Sky Sox at Tides  [Christie Pits Diamond 2]

Parents and Players are advised that our photographer will be on hand during the Celebration Day Event to take photos of players who missed our individual and team photo sessions earlier this season.

The Committee will be arranging pick up days for photos and trophies for anyone who can’t make it on the August 25, and announcing the date/time/location details as soon as they are confirmed.

In addition, we are looking for volunteers to help us with preparing the food and delivering the orders, so if you’d like to help out (when your team isn’t playing of course) then let us know by return e-mail at tpbaseball@gmail.com.
