DOWN 13-12, THE BLUEBIRDS STAGE A DRAMATIC TWO RUN RALLY IN THE FINAL INNING TO PREVAIL OVER THE TWINKIES IN A BARN BURNING MOSQUITO DIVISION ELIMINATION ROUND PLAYOFF GAME AT CHRISTIE PITS

With Twins reliever Ashe (12) and catcher Charlie (4) looking on, Niko (12) charges out of the batter’s box after delivering a two RBI single in the bottom of the fifth inning to bring Holden (13) and Oren (8) home and give the Jays a 14-13 comeback victory over the Twins at Christie Pits Diamond 3.

Beneath a blanket of blustery and chilly willy skies, the Jays edged the Twins 14-13 in five innings of Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Tournament Mosquito Division elimination round playoff action this morning at Christie Pits Diamond 3.

The lengthy barn burning proceeding was a fun contest between two talented and well coached teams where both the Jays and Twins combined for a total of thirty-four walks over the course of five frames. In the end, the Bluebirds rallied from a one run deficit in the bottom of the final inning to prevail over the Twinkies and take home the prize.

Trailing 13-12, the Jays donned their rally caps in the bottom half of the fifth as they put two ducks on the pond via a single by Holden (13) and a walk by Oren (8). 

With one out, Niko (12) delivered a one out two RBI single that brought Holden and Oren home with the Bluebirds tying and winning runs.
