PEEWEE > Pirates and Reds Resume Quest for 2019 Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Tournament Peewee Division Championship on September 12

AFTER THE ARRIVAL OF LIGHTNING AND RAIN FORCED THE SUSPENSION OF THEIR HOTLY CONTESTED BATTLE, THE BUCCANEERS AND THE BIG RED MACHINE RESUME PLAY ON THURSDAY NIGHT AT CHRISTIE PITS

Taking advantage of a Buccaneer error, Reds baserunner Lucca (19) scoots around the tag attempt of Pirates catcher Shael (5) to score a dramatic run for the Big Red Machine in the top of the second inning at Christie Pits Diamond 2.

As the proceedings were in the midst of the bottom of the fifth inning, the sudden arrival of lightning and rain tonight at Christie Pits forced the suspension of the 2019 Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Tournament Peewee Division Championship Game between the Pirates and Reds.

After an attempt to wait out the inclement weather, the TP Baseball Committee was forced to suspend play in the hotly contested championship final with the Bucs holding a slender tenderloin 6-5 lead over the Big Red Machine.

Play in the suspended Peewee Division Championship Game is scheduled to resume tomorrow (Thursday, September 12) night at Christie Pits Diamond 2 at 7:45 p.m.

See ya all there for the final game of the 2019 edition of the ‘September Madness’ tournament!
