2018 HOUSE LEAGUE DIVISIONAL SCHEDULES

Regular season schedules for our various House League age divisions are currently being posted as of May 18. Please check below the corresponding divisional classification for the schedule(s) that applies to you. 

TEE BALL (2011–2014)

  • For the 2018 season, we will be offering two divisions of Tee Ball – Junior Tee Ball is intended for players born in 2013 and 2014, and Senior Tee Ball is intended for players born in 2011 and 2012.
  • For the 2018 season, we are offering both Junior and Senior Tee Ball divisions every weekday (Monday
    to Friday). Players will register for one day only.
  • The Junior Tee Ball games will start at 5:30 p.m. and the Senior Tee Ball games will start at 6:30 p.m.
  • All of the pre-season practices and regular season games will take place at the Art Eggleton Park Tee Ball diamonds, which are located just south of Harbord Street between Grace Street and Montrose Avenue (beside the Montrose Public School schoolyard).
  • Short warm up practices will be incorporated into the beginning of each game…there won’t be scheduled team practices once the regular season starts. There will be two or three scheduled team practices during the pre-season schedule. We may also hold some weekend clinics in June for any particularly keen Tee Ball players to develop their skills even more.
  • The pre-season will run from late April/beginning of May to Thursday, May 17. The exact start time of the pre-season will be communicated to everyone by mid-April.
  • The Tee Ball division regular season will commence on Tuesday, May 22. The season will conclude with the Tee Ball Celebration Day event for each team in late August/early September (the precise format and date(s) will be confirmed by the middle of May).

2018 FRIDAY JUNIOR ROOKIE BALL DIVISION SCHEDULE

  • For the 2018 season, we will be offering two divisions of Rookie Ball – Junior Rookie Ball is intended for players born in 2010 and Senior Rookie Ball is intended for players born in 2009.
  • For the 2018 season, we are offering two choices of game day for both the Junior and Senior Rookie Ball divisions.
  • The Junior Rookie Ball Monday division will play their games every Monday and practice every second Wednesday, while the Junior Rookie Ball Friday division will play games every Friday and practice every second Tuesday. Players will register in one of the two divisions. Games will be played at 5:45 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (each team will play some games at each of those times). Practices on Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be at 5:30 p.m. for one hour and fifteen minutes.
  • The Senior Rookie Ball Wednesday division will play games every Wednesday and practice every second Friday, while the Senior Rookie Ball Thursday division will play games every Thursday and practice every second Monday. Players will register in one of the two divisions. Games will be played at 5:45 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Each team will play some games at both of those times. Practices on Mondays and Thursdays will be at 5:30 p.m. for one hour and fifteen minutes.
  • There will be evaluation sessions arranged for players registered in the Rookie Ball divisions. The purpose of these sessions is to give us as good a measure as possible of the skill level of our players, so that we can make our houseleague teams as fair and balanced as possible. These sessions will take place either the weekend of April 21 & 22 nd or April 28 & 29. Parents will be contacted by April 15 with information as to the dates, times, and location of these sessions.
  • The pre-season will run from late April/beginning of May to Thursday, May 17.
  • The Rookie Ball division regular season will commence on Tuesday, May 22.
  • The season will wrap up with the Rookie Ball Celebration Day event, which will be a Saturday in late August/early September (the date will be confirmed by the end of April).
  • There will be two or three scheduled practices for each team during the pre-season. We will also be running several weekend clinics and batting practices in May and June so the Rookie Ball players can
    develop their skills even more.
  • Rookie Ball games will primarily take place in Christie Pits. Some divisions may have games taking place at the Bickford South diamond (corner of Grace St. and Harbord St. in Bickford Park, which is just across Bloor St. from Christie Pits) and/or the Dovercourt diamond (corner of Southview Ave. and Bartlett Ave., two blocks west of Dovercourt Rd. and two blocks north of Bloor St.).
  • Practices will take place at diamonds as close to Christie Pits as can be arranged.

MOSQUITO (2007 and 2008)

  • For the 2018 season, we will be offering two Mosquito divisions. The Mosquito Tuesday division will play games on Tuesdays and practice every second Thursday. The Mosquito Thursday division will play games on Thursdays and practice every second Monday. Players will register in one of the two divisions.
  • There will be evaluation sessions arranged for players registered in the Mosquito divisions. The purpose of these sessions is to give us as good a measure as possible of the skill level of our players, so that we can make our houseleague teams as fair and balanced as possible. These sessions will take place either the weekend of April 21 & 22 or April 28 & 29. Parents will be contacted by April 15 with information as to the dates, times, and location of these sessions.
  • The pre-season will run from late April/beginning of May to Thursday, May 17.
  • The Mosquito division regular season will commence on Tuesday, May 22.
  • The Mosquito season will wrap up in mid-September at the conclusion of our end of season “September Madness” tournament.
  • There will be two or three scheduled team practices during the pre-season schedule. We will also berunning several weekend clinics in May and June so the Mosquito players can develop their skills even more.
  • Mosquito games will take place in Christie Pits, Bickford Park, Trinity-Bellwoods Park and Dovercourt Park. If increased registration numbers create the need for more teams, other parks may be used for games as well. These additional diamonds will be as close as possible to Christie Pits, and each team would have to play there only a few times during the season.
  • Mosquito Division game times will be 5:30 p.m., 5:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. All teams will play some games at each of those times.
  • Practices will be held at Christie Pits, Bickford Park, Trinity Bellwoods and Dovercourt Park. If increased registration numbers create the need for more teams, other parks may be used for pracatices as well. These additional diamonds will be as close as possible to Christie Pits.
  • Practice start times will range from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 pm. All teams will sometimes practice at each of the start times over the course of the season.

PEEWEE (2005 and 2006)

  • The teams in the Peewee division will play one game each week and each team will practice every second Thursday.
  • The Peewee division games will take place on Mondays, but if increased registration numbers create the need for more teams, there will also be one game played on Sunday evening each week. All teams will play the Sunday game a few times over the entire summer…the vast majority of each team’s games will be on Monday.
  • There will be evaluation sessions arranged for players registered in the Peewee division. The purpose of
    these sessions is to give us as good a measure as possible of the skill level of our players, so that we can make our houseleague teams as fair and balanced as possible. These sessions will take place either the weekend of April 21 & 22 or April 28 & 29. Parents will be contacted by April 15 with information as to the dates, times, and location of these sessions.
  • The pre-season will run from late April/beginning of May to Thursday, May 17.
  • The Peewee division regular season will commence with practices on Thursday, May 24.
  • The Peewee season will wrap up in mid-September at the conclusion of our end of season “September Madness” tournament.
  • There will be two or three scheduled team practices during the pre-season schedule. We will also be running several weekend clinics in May and June so the Peewee players can further develop their skills.
  • Game times on Monday will be scheduled for 6:45 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 8:15 p.m. All teams will play some games at each of those times, so no team will have all or most of their games at the latest times.
  • Peewee games will take place in Christie Pits, Bickford Park, Dovercourt Park and Trinity Bellwood Park. If Sunday games are part of the schedule, they will start at 6:30 pm.
  • Practices will be held at Christie Pits and Trinity Bellwoods Park, and possibly other neighbourhood parks.

BANTAM (2003 and 2004)

  • There will be Bantam division games taking place every Monday (except for holiday Mondays). The other Bantam game (or games depending upon the number of players and teams) will be played on various other days of the week. Some weeks the second game will be on Wednesday, some weeks on Friday, and some weeks on Saturday (in the afternoon). A consistent day for the second game is difficult to set because of the increased demand for diamonds with pitching mounds in general and Dominico Field at Christie Pits (a.k.a. Diamond 1) in particular. Each team will play some games on all of the days mentioned above. Because of this scenario, we will also not be setting a standard practice day and time until closer to the start of the season.
  • There will be evaluation sessions arranged for players registered in the Bantam division. The purpose of these sessions is to give us as good a measure as possible of the skill level of our players, so that we can make our houseleague teams as fair and balanced as possible. These sessions will take place either the weekend of April 21 & 22 or April 28 & 29. Parents will be contacted by April 15 with information as to the dates, times, and location of these sessions.
  • The pre-season will run from late April/beginning of May to Thursday, May 17.
  • The Bantam division regular season will commence the week of Monday May 21, but there will be no games on that holiday Monday.
  • The Bantam season will wrap up in mid-September at the conclusion of our end of season “September Madness” tournament.
  • There will be team practices during the pre-season schedule.
  • Bantam games will take place on Dominico Field at Christie Pits (a.k.a. Diamond 1).
  • During the weekdays, games will start at 6:00 p.m. (occasionally 8:00 p.m.) and on Saturdays, the games will be in the afternoon.

MIDGET (2000, 2001, and 2002)

  • There will be Midget division games taking place every Monday (except for holiday Mondays). The other Midget game will be played on various other days of the week.
