House League
The TP house league program offers co-ed baseball to children and youth from ages 4 through 18.
GOALS
Teamwork, baseball skills, and outdoor fun for all who participate. All players share playing time in a non-threatening environment.
RULES
Rules are geared for age group and level of play. They are generally the same age group based rules used across North America, except we put an emphasis on sharing playing time.
EQUIPMENT
Players should bring their own mitts. Non-metal baseball cleats are helpful at the higher levels, but not required. Athletic supporters are recommended, but required only for the catcher position.
All players receive a team uniform (hat, jersey and pants), team & individual picture, and end-of-season trophy.
COACHES
All coaches are volunteers, who are trained and screened.
All games will be officiated by umpires with at least OBA level 1 umpire certification.
DATES
Most games are on weekday evenings. Schedule will be announced by Victoria Day weekend.
LOCATIONS
T-Ball League games are played in Bickford Park behind Bickford Centre diagonally across from Christie Station on the Bloor subway line. The games will be played on the smaller northern diamond closer to the centre about half-way between Harbord and Bloor on Grace Ave.
Rookie Ball, Mosquito, Peewee, Bantam and Midget House League games are played at Christie Pits Park.
(directly across from the Christie station bordered by Bloor, Christie, Crawford, and Barton).
NOTE: some practices might be at Bickford Park.
The Rookie Ball, Mosquito & PeeWee Leagues play on the smaller Christie Pits baseball diamonds at the north/central portion of the park in between the Maple Leafs’ diamond and the swimming pool area. Diamond #2 is the more northern of these diamonds, closest to Barton Ave. Diamond #3 is located south of #2, immediately east of the swimming pool.
The Bantam & Midget Leagues play on the larger Maple Leafs’ diamond #1, located in the northeast area of the park.
