Under warm and gorgeous summer skies this evening at the Bickford Park North Diamond, two Tee Ball Division rivals battled in a feathered ornithological showdown.

For two flighty innings, the Eagles and Herons squared off for bragging rights on the field of play.

Leading the Eagles offensive feathers were Max (19), Thomas (18), Leo (17), Sebastian (16), Rose (14), Holden (13), Virginia (12), Tashi (11), Taylen (10), James (9), Thomas (7), Nathan (6), Ana (5), Townes (4), Eli (3) and Luc (1).

Propelling the Herons offensive wings were Liam (4), Benjamin (3), Stella (1), Niko (6), Charlie (8), Luca (16), Benjamin (7) and Gabriel (19).

The hits and runs generated by both squads were coming fast and furious throughout the entire game and brought the appreciative fans in attendance to their feet in a rapturous celebration.

And when the dust had finally settled on the basepaths, TP Baseball Umpire Quinn Boswell announced that the Eagles and Herons had played to a tie.

A fitting conclusion to a well played game by both teams and where a splendid time was had by all.
