AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR TEE BALL & ROOKIE BALL PARENTS AND PLAYERS
The Eagles and Ravens congratulate one another on a good game down at the Bickford Park North Diamond.
The Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Committee has announced that the Tee Ball & Rookie Ball Celebration Day events scheduled for Saturday, August 20 will take place at Bickford Park and not at Christie Pits as it is listed in the regular season schedule.
The Rookie Ball games will take place on the south diamond and the Tee Ball games will be played on the north diamond. Here are the respective schedules:
Saturday August, 20: Tee Ball Celebration Day Schedule (all games at the Bickford Park North Diamond)
Game 1 9:30 a.m. Eagles @ Hawks
Game 2 10:30 a.m. Cranes @ Owls
Game 3 11:30 a.m. Loons @ Falcons
Game 4 12:30 p.m. Ravens @ Herons
Saturday, August 20: Rookie Ball Celebration Day Schedule (all games at the Bickford Park South Diamond)
Game 1 9:30 a.m. Tigers @ Cheetahs
Game 2 10:45 a.m. Lions @ Panthers
Game 3 12:00 noon Jaguars @ Bobcats
The Celebration Day Barbecue will be set up just south of the south baseball diamond at Bickford Park. All players will get a free lunch of a hot dog or veggie dog, chips, and a juice. Food and drink will also be on sale for family and friends.
Parents in our Tee Ball and Rookie Ball Divisions are asked to inform their respective coaches if their children will be attending the Celebration Day events or not. Addtionally, parents whose children will be participating are asked to inform their coach about their child’s preference for either an all beef hot dog or a vegetarian hot dog.
Your kind cooperation in letting us know beforehand will allow the TP Baseball Committee to efficiently plan ahead and use our financial resources more effectively for the Celebration Day events.
The Committee is also looking for parents and volunteers who wish to help out at the Tee Ball & Rookie Ball Celebration Day Event (like assisting in the barbecue area; setting up and putting away equipment; etc.). If you would like to lend a hand, please contact us at tpbaseball@gmail.com .
