MONARCHS BUILD AN EARLY LEAD AND HANG ON FOR THE VICTORY
In a close Midget Division round robin game last night at Dominico Field, the Monarchs edged the Homesteads 6-5 in five innings.
Using a disciplined approach at the plate, the Monarchs (2-0) had constructed a 6-3 lead after four innings.
The Homesteads (1-1) rallied for two runs in the bottom of the fifth but the comeback fell short.
