Beneath warm summer skies at the Bickford Park South Diamond this evening, the Dodgers defeated the Cubs 16-5 in four innings of Mosquito Division play.
Here are the highlights:
- Tyler (5) of the Dodgers pitched two strong innings and allowed only 2 runs.
- Oliver (9) hit a double and drove in 2 runs in the second.
- Jack (9) of the Cubs hit a beautiful deep fly-ball into to right field for an extra bases hit. But he was held to a double by some great Dodgers fielding, when right fielder Luke retrieved the ball and threw a sizzling throw to second baseman Emma (12) at second.
