Under hazy and humid skies this evening at Christie Pits Diamond 2, the Cardinals prevailed 9-6 over the Mets in a fun filled three inning Mosquito Division showdown.
Here are the highlights:
- Charles (8) had a 2 RBI Triple for the Cardinals. Charles also made a nice play for an out at first base.
- Cardinals pitcher Zenon (10) threw an inning while only allowing one run. Zenon also threw out a runner at the plate from left field.
- Liam (15) made a great defensive play at second for the Cards on a tough hop and made the throw to first to record the out on the Mets baserunner.
- Francis (13) had a hit and a walk for the Red Birds while scoring two runs. Francis also made a great catch on a sky high pop up to third base.
