TRAILING 9-5, THE GO GO LIZZIES RALLY FOR FIVE RUNS IN THE FINAL INNING TO EDGE THE WHITE SOX AT DOMINICO FIELD
Game Post composed with file from Paul Kelly
Playing beneath the heat and humidity this afternoon at Dominico Field at Christie Pits, the Lizzies edged the White Sox in a four inning Bantam Division barnburner.
Trailing 9-5, the Go Go Lizzies rallied in dramatic fashion for five runs in the bottom of the fourth to overtake the White Sox for the victory.
The Lizzies player of the game was Roberto (11) who had a RBI single and scored three runs (one stolen to mercy the bottom third with two out). Roberto also held the White Sox offense to one run while pitching in the fourth.
Each team was also short-handed because many players were participating in a Bantam Select Team tournament in Vaughan this weekend.
TP Baseball wishes to thank to Luke and Noah from the TP Rep team for playing outfield for both teams. And thanks to Keegan (Rep and house league A’s) who also helped fill in on the White Sox roster.
