Under the lights on an extremely cool and crisp September evening at Dominico Field at Christie Pits, the A’s defeated the White Sox 18-10 in a marathon five inning Bantam Division round robin tournament game.
Utilizing everything in their arsenal, the Athletics cruised to a rock ’em sock ’em victory over the Sox to win their opening round robin game of the tournament.
In a showdown of the unbeaten, the A’s (1-0) will face off against the Lizzies (2-0) at Dominico Field in their next round robin game on Saturday, September 7 at 1:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the White Sox (0-2) will host the Expos (0-1) on Saturday in their next tournament game at Dominico Field at 11:00 a.m.
