WITH THEIR BACKS TO THE WALL, THE REIGNING CHAMPIONS WIN GAME 4 AT DOMINICO FIELD TO STAVE OFF ELIMINATION BY STEAMROLLING OVER THE MONARCHS TO WIN THEIR FIRST GAME OF THE MIDGET DIVISION BEST OF SEVEN CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

Beneath the lights on a cold September evening at Dominico Field at Christie Pits, the Crawfords defeated the Monarchs 16-7 in 6 ½ innings of Midget Division Championship Series action.

Dante (4) powered the Crawfords attack by going 4 for 5 at the plate [three singles, double] with three runs scored and 3 RBI’s.

By winning Game 4, the reigning Midget Division champions staved off elimination in the best of seven championship series. The Monarchs lead the series 3-1.

The Crawfords bullpen came up big as five pitchers [Tyler (10), Liam (10), Dante (4), Stanny (8) and Nick (5)] combined to limit the potent Monarchs offense to seven runs while striking out twelve over the course of seven innings.

Meanwhile, the Crawfords offense was firing on all cylinders as they took advantage of thirteen walks and pounded out eight hits to win their first game of the series.

Spearheading the Crawfords offensive attack was Dante (4), who went 4 for 5 at the plate [three singles, double] with three runs scored and three RBI’s.

Game 5 of the Midget Division Championship Series will take place on Saturday, September 14 at Dominico Field at 6:00 p.m.
