Fall baseball clinics continue this weekend for all interested Toronto Playgrounds Baseball players born in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006  on Saturday, November 16  from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at  Christie Pits Diamonds 2 and 3.

The clinics are a great opportunity for players to improve their baseball knowledge and skills and to have some fun at the same time. These clinic sessions will be used by the rep coaches to begin choosing the Mosquito Rep team for the 2014 season, so if you’re interested in trying out for next season’s Mosquito Rep team it is extremely important that you attend these clinics. Players from the Annette House League will also be participating in these clinics/tryouts.

The coaches for the 2014 Toronto Playgrounds House League Rookie Ball and Mosquito Select teams will also be at the clinics, so if you’re considering trying out for the Toronto Playgrounds House League Select teams for 2014, or if you’d like to find out more information about our select program, then come on out to the clinics and talk to our coaches.

However, we’d like to emphasize that these clinics are not the beginning of our formal select tryout processthat will kick off in January and you will all be informed by e-mail during December as to the dates, times, and locations of those tryouts. So, if you’re interested in playing select for Toronto Playgrounds House League next season but can’t make the clinics, don’t worry that you’ve missed the chance to try out.

For information regarding the differences between “rep” and “select” baseball (because we realize that it can sometimes be confusing), please refer to the “select” page on our website, www.tpbaseball.ca. If you still have questions, let us know by e-mail or ask the coaches at the clinic.

These clinics are available, free of charge, to all Toronto Playgrounds House League players born in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006. The clinics will take place each Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Christie Pits through the fall until weather stops us.

In the event of uncertain weather, ALL participating players and parents are advised to check the TP Hotline (416-392-1914, Press 4) or our Twitter feed (@TPbaseballnews) for an update on the status of the clinics. Information will be posted 45 to 60 minutes before the start time of the clinic and will be updated when necessary.
