BIRDS OF A FEATHER PLAY GREAT BASEBALL TOGETHER AS THE CHICKADEES AND PELICANS BATTLE TO A TIE AT BICKFORD PARK
Beneath a canopy of warm summer skies this evening at the Bickford Park North Diamond, two Tee Ball Division rivals battled in a fever pitched birds of prey showdown.
For three flighty innings, the Chickadees and Pelicans squared off for bragging rights on the field of play.
Leading the Chickadees offensive feathers were Joshua (4), Ryan (8), Sophie (9), James (16), Cohen (2), Shay (10), Ted (7) and Cory (3).
Propelling the Pelicans offensive wings were Charlie (3), Jackson (18), George (5), Josh (7), Archie (2), Parker (8) and Cleo (1).
The hits and runs generated by both squads were coming fast and furious throughout the entire game and brought the appreciative fans in attendance to their feet in a rapturous celebration.
And when the dust had finally settled on the basepaths, TP Baseball Umpire Quinn Boswell announced that the Chickadees and Pelicans had played to a tie.
A fitting conclusion to a well played game by both teams and where a splendid time was had by all.
