Beneath a picturesque layer of warm evening skies, the North York Blues edged our Toronto Playgrounds Mosquito Selects 8-7 in six innings of Mississauga Majors Tournament play tonight at Lakeview Park.
The Friday evening affair was the TP Mosquito Selects opening round robin game at the annual Mosquito Select tournament held in Mississauga.
Here are some highlights:

- Lucas (1) tripled in the second inning.
- TP reliever Solly (27) tossed two excellent innings to close things out.
- Toronto Playgrounds held a 4-3 lead going into the fifth.
- One bad defensive inning allowed the Blues to escape with the win.

In an early 9:00 a.m. game, TP will face the Brampton Blue Jays at Lakeview Park. Later in the afternoon, TP will play a 2:30 p.m. game against the Mississauga Majors at Crookes Park.
