DUE TO WET FIELD CONDITIONS ON DIAMOND 2, 38 PLAYERS FROM FOUR TEAMS SQUEEZED ONTO DIAMOND 3 TO HAVE A JOLLY GOOD TIME AT CHRISTIE PITS
Game Post composed with file from Jeff Kolyn
Under a canopy of warm summer skies, the Jays-White Sox edged the Angels-Royals 12-11 in three fun innings of Mosquito Division action this evening at Christie Pits Diamond 3.
Rain that fell earlier in the day wreaked havoc with Christie Pits Diamond 2 and resulted in wet field conditions that made the diamond surface unplayable.
Therefore, the players from the Jays and Royals game (originally scheduled on Diamond 2) shuffled over to Diamond 3 and combined forces with Angels and Royals.
With a mega combo roster of eighteen Angels & Royals and twenty Jays & White Sox in the lineup, everyone had a jolly good time.
In the end, Joshua (3) from the Jays-White Sox hit a bases clearing double to win the game in the bottom of the third.
