TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS PREVAIL OVER THE WHITE SOX TO WIN OPENING PLAYOFF GAME AT THE EBA ROOKIE BALL SELECT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT
Under a canopy of picturesque summer skies, our Toronto Playgrounds Rookie Ball Selects defeated the Martingrove White Sox 14-8 in seven innings this evening at Broadacres Park to win their opening playoff elimination game at the 2015 Etobicoke Baseball Association (EBA) Rookie Ball Select Championship Tournament.
Each team participating in this season’s EBA Rookie Ball Select Championship Tournament is working under the double knockout formula, whereby a team is eliminated from the tourney once they have lost two playoff elimination games.
With the victory, the TP Rookie Ball Selects (1-0) continue their journey at the tourney with another playoff elimination game tomorrow (Saturday, August 22) morning at Broadacres Park against the Royal York Cardinals at 10:00 a.m.
