Beneath a blanket of warm and serene night skies, the Homesteads prevailed 10-6 over the Crawfords in six innings tonight at Dominico Field at Christie Pits to win the 2015 Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Mosquito Division Championship Series.
Playing before a standing room only capacity crowd, the Homesteads took the best of seven playoff series 4-1.
When the series began last Tuesday, the Homesteads edged the Crawfords 11-10 in a thrilling five inning game.
However, the Crawfords rebounded in Game 2 to tie the series with a dominant 12-4 win last Thursday.
Then on Saturday, the Homesteads took charge by winning a doubleheader to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the best of seven championship playoff series.
