THE PARENTS & COACHES OF THE TP MOSQUITO SELECT TEAM CELEBRATED A GREAT 2015 CHAMPIONHIP SEASON BY PLAYING A GAME AGAINST THEIR OWN KIDS AT CHRISTIE PITS
Game Post and Collage Photographs courtesy of Brian VasoffUnder a beautiful late summer blue sky, with just a hint of fall in the air, the parents and coaches of the TP Mosquito Select Team celebrated a great 2015 season by playing seven innings against the players on the TP Mosquito Select team this afternoon at Christie Pits Diamond 2.
For the love of the game, the parents and coaches played their hardest and didn’t hold anything back during the proceedings just because they were playing against their own kids. Likewise, the kids did the same.
Here are some game highlights:
- Cameron (26) powered a big hit into DEEP center field…right into his father’s glove!
- Michael [Jackson’s (8) dad] impressed everyone by sliding into second with a stolen base.
- TP Mosquito Select Coach Marco Bianchi displayed his offensive talent with a triple deep into center field. His feat earned much respect from everyone.
Both teams had their share of great hits and solid defensive plays. It just goes to show that the parents must have overheard some of the great coaching tips the kids have been getting all season from their top notch coaches.
And the pot luck feast that followed the game was a great way to end the season.
The TP Mosquito Select parents may have won the game today, but they will be hurtin’ tomorrow!
