A FREE BASEBALL CLINIC RUN BY GIRLS FOR GIRLS; THE TORONTO FUSION WOMEN’S TOURNAMENT TEAM ARE HOLDING AN INSTRUCTIONAL CLINIC FOR GIRLS OF ALL AGES AT QUEENSWAY PARK
Players from the Toronto Fusion Women’s tournament team are hosting a free baseball clinic for girls of all ages and experience levels on Saturday, April 30 at Queensway Park in Etobicoke (near Royal York Road and The Queensway).
The Toronto Fusion is an Ontario Women’s Baseball League (OWBL) select team consisting of players who wish to experience baseball at a competitive international level.
There are two instructional clinics scheduled for April 30:
- 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon: The morning clinic will be geared towards girls born between 2006 and 2009.
- 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: The afternoon clinic will be for girls born between 2001 and 2005.
Both clinics will include hitting, throwing, fielding, baserunning, fly balls and pitching (where applicable).
An optional lunch will be provided at the cost of $5.00 per person.
Space at the clinic is limited. If you’re interested in attending, please register by April 25 by emailing us at torontofusionbaseball@hotmail.com.
In the event that the clinic is rained out on the Saturday, the alternative Rain Date is Sunday, May 1.
The Toronto Fusion Women’s tournament team wishes to be clear to all interested participants that this instructional clinic is in no way a recruiting initiative for any team or league. Last year, we had eighty girls in attendance, some who had never played baseball before and some who have been playing since the Tee Ball level. The Fusion had a blast spending a day on the diamond with all the participants and are very much looking forward to doing it again this year.
