The Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Committee has scheduled a final player evaluation session for registered and interested players in its Bantam (2001-2002) and Midget (1998-2000) age categories on Wednesday, May 25 at Dominico Field at Christie Pits (a.k.a. Diamond 1).

Here is the evaluation and workout schedule:

MONDAY, MAY 25

  • BANTAM DIVISION [2001-2002] > 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. [Dominico Field at Christie Pits]
  • MIDGET DIVISION [1998-2000] > 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. [Dominico Field at Christie Pits]

Players participating in the evaluations are advised to bring a glove with them to the sessions. If you’re not already registered, please bring a completed registration form with you to the evaluation session.

BANTAM

  • After this final session, the Bantam Division coaches will put together three teams, and players will be notified of which team they’re on. The Committee will then have a Bantam Division uniform pickup & practice session on Friday, May 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Bantam Division regular season schedule will be sent out and posted during the weekend of May 28-29. Regular season games in the Bantam Division will start on Monday, May 30.

MIDGET

  • The Committee is holding one final evaluation/workout session for interested and registered Midgets on Wednesday before deciding if we will have enough players to make a Midget Division work. All interested Midgets should attend, because we will be making a decision following the session as to whether we will be able to field a Midget Division for the 2016 season. If it doesn’t look like we will be able to, then players born in 2000 will be invited to consider playing in an expanded Bantam division for this season.
