Beneath a layer of hot and hazy skies, the Angels defeated the Jays 14-9 in four ferocious innings of Mosquito Division play this evening at Christie Pits Diamond 2.

Here is an Angels summary of the game:

  • The Angels and Jays played a spirited game at diamond 2 with the Halos managing to prevail despite a ferocious Jay rally in the bottom of the fourth.
  • During the game, the Angels relied on some strong pitching from Jacob, Elliot, Jonas and Zach to ground the high flying Jays.
  • In addition, the Halos received some impressive infield D with Evan and Dante teaming up for a nice out in the first inning to turn back the Jays.
  • Elliot homered and Lucky crushed a double to power the Angels attack.
  • The Angels offense was also helped along by important singles from Nikhil, Jonas, Alex and Rorden.
