Beneath a picturesque ceiling of warm summer skies, our Toronto Playgrounds Rookie Ball Selects finished round robin play this evening at the West Hill Tournament in Scarborough, Ontario with a perfect 3-0 record.

As a result, TP has qualified for the semi-final elimination phase of the tournament. The TP Rookie Ball Selects will play in a semi-final game tomorrow (Sunday, June 26) morning against North York at Adams Park with an opportunity to advance to the tourney’s championship game.

Toronto Playgrounds opened the West Hill tournament with a convincing 22-7 seven inning victory over the Brampton yesterday (Friday, June 24) evening at Adams Park.

Early this morning, the TP Rookie Ball Selects triumphed over the West Hill Blue Hawks 17-4 in six frames at Adams Park.

Taking no prisoners, TP capped off the round robin portion of the tourney late this afternoon with a riveting 6-3 victory over the East York Bulldogs at Adams Park. Deadlocked 3-3, TP scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the game and punch a ticket to the semi-final round.
