THE RESCHEDULING OF TWO RAINED OUT PEEWEE DIVISION GAMES HAS NECESSITATED CHANGES TO THE SUNDAY ‘SEPTEMBER MADNESS’ SCHEDULE

The Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Committee has announced revisions to its end of season tournament schedules for teams in our Mosquito and Peewee Divisions.
We‘ve been forced to re-schedule some rained out Peewee Division games and it has caused some changes to the Sunday Mosquito and Peewee Division schedules….everything up until the end of Saturday, September 10 is the same.

MOSQUITO DIVISION
The change in the Peewee round robin schedule has caused changes to both the Peewee and Mosquito elimination games schedule. The first round elimination game schedule is relatively unchanged…the fourth game is fifteen minutes earlier. We will be letting everyone know the schedule for the first round elimination games by 7:00 pm Saturday night after the conclusion of the round robin.
The timing of the quarter final games has changed. The quarter final games will now be played at 12:30, 2:30, 2:45 (Bickford South), and 4:30. We’ll be keeping the teams that win the 9:00 am and 10:00 am Elimination games out of the 12:30 pm quarter-final…that’s too short a turn around time. We will be scheduling the 12:30 pm quarter final game at the conclusion of the 8:15 am elimination games. We’ll be contacting the coaches right away so they can inform their teams. We’ll be putting the quarter final schedule on the hotline, website and twitter as soon as it is determined on Sunday….coaches will also be emailed directly to contact their teams.
PEEWEE DIVISION
Wednesday’s rained out Peewee Division games have been moved to Sunday morning. As you will also see the games do not feature the original match ups that were rained out. They have been changed to what is on the revised schedule to accommodate coaches who have to travel significant distances by TTC to attend the games, and the subway doesn’t operate as early on Sunday as it does other days. Still, no team is playing another team twice in the round robin.
This change has also caused the timing of the quarter final games to change somewhat….they’ll be played at 1:45, 3:45, 5:45. and 7:45. We’ll be keeping the two teams playing the 10:00 am round robin game out of the 1:45 quarter-final…that’s too short a turn around time. Other than that, we won’t know what teams are playing in which quarter final games until the completion of the last round robin game at noon. We’ll be putting the quarter final schedule on the hotline, website and twitter as soon as it is determined on Sunday….coaches will also be emailed directly to contact their teams.
