THE EXPOS PREVAIL OVER THE METROPOLITANS IN A BARNBURNING NIGHTCAP AT DOVERCOURT PARK

Under a duvet of warm midsummer skies, the Expos defeated the Mets 11-9 in three or four innings of Peewee Division action this evening at the Dovercourt Park Diamond. 

Here is a brief Expos recap of the proceedings courtesy of Don Christie:

  • In a fun affair, the Expos took down the Mets 11-9 in first of a two game Peewee Division regular season series.
  • Power pitching from both teams tonight dominated the proceeding.
  • Very FAST pitches from the Mets hurler Ernesto (6), and Expos pitcher Ben (4), who threw against a tough rally from the Mets in the final inning, making a quick play to first for the last out.
  • The Expos are looking forward to the rematch against the Metropolitans on Sunday, August 13 at Bickford Park!
