Rookie Ball, Mosquito & Peewee Division House League Baseball Skills Clinic On Deck for May 5

TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS IS HOSTING A SATURDAY AFTERNOON CLINIC AT CHRISTIE PITS FOR ALL INTERESTED PLAYERS & COACHES IN OUR RESPECTIVE ROOKIE BALL, MOSQUITO AND PEEWEE DIVISIONS

Toronto Playgrounds Baseball is holding a skills clinic on Saturday, May 5 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Christie Pits for interested players and coaches in our respective Rookie Ball (2009-2010), Mosquito (2007-2008) and Peewee (2005-2006) divisions.

The clinic will feature an effective dynamic stretching warm up, along with a complete throwing program. There will also be an emphasis on proper techniques for catching a throw or batted ball, along with fielding skills activities. We plan on running this clinic again and other similar skills clinics as often as possible on weekends during May and June.

We’d also like to emphasize that this is also an invitation to the volunteer Coaches in our Rookie Ball, Mosquito and Peewee divisions to attend the clinic along with their kids. We feel that this is a great opportunity for coaches (new or veteran) to see the proper way to teach these skills and techniques while having some fun themselves. We are really hoping that the important components of the warm up program that will be demonstrated will be copied and used throughout the house league season at practices and before games.
